It will be launched during holiday season, it probably has a massive fan folowing by now, and all the other games are from diufferent genres. AC and CoD where always launched together, and NFS is a more arcady racer while GT5... well its GT5 
I dont see it as a bad time to launch it, especially for a game that has some enormous legs. Hell even the PSP version prooved it for a second time in a row
