Forums - Sales Discussion - Format war Bluray vs hddvd...

The second either of these formats has a movie which has sold more copies than a third rate movie on DVD I will care ...

I could be wrong but I'm willing to bet that any big movie released to DVD has sold more copies than all movies released to HD-DVD and Blu-Ray combined.

considering that cr was a top 10 seller your post is worthless.  nothing like a format war to bring out the clueless and retarted among the electronics industry.

For how long?

Can you demonstrate how it's lifetime sales on Blu-Ray compare to lifetime sales of DVD movies?

If I'm so clueless could you inform me rather than being a remarkably stupid troll?

Casino Royale is not the end all of the format war, get over yourself...there are quite a few big sellers in HD DVD as well.  It's more interesting to look at movies that are on both formats, like Planet Earth, which sold more HD DVDs than Blu Rays.  What now?

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

and how much do those big movies sell ?

Br is at 844k according to Nielson... who does not include walmart(40% of the market) and others that aren't using VideoScan.

Big deal it's only 3 months into the year and the sales where just the opposite the 6 months before with hd dvd having much better sales.

Exactly right. HD-Dvd had a lead to start with and within these past 3 months blu-ray has already passed them and then some.

That is the truth! Blu Ray is winning!

Predicting the Future - 360 Will get to 11 Million in the USA this year!!

Predicting the Future - Wii will NOT win this gen in America!!

Prediciting the Future - The PS3 will pass the Wii by 2009!!

I kinda skimmed but...are these sales figures for worldwide or a certain region?

And also, I've heard that HD-DVD is selling more than Blu-Ray in Europe. (Supposedly 3 to 1) Truth or not?
