Good News! I knew for a while BluRay was kicking ass and taking names! Maybe sony was right in putting bluray in the PS3 in the long run?

Bluray is for HD tvs...It's HD. DVD won't go out unless the majority of people get an hD-TV.

 every tv sold now is HDTV...

At some point, the majority of people will have an HD TV.

 Go into most stores and 20% to 40% of the tvs are SDTV's. I have seen many people buying SDTV's not just based on their price and reliability but to them HDTV is just to much.
