You would actually, they are on PC and those versions are better than the console ones, apart from RDR and Alan Wake (which I'm expecting to come to PC anyway). Buying Xbox for games once you own a real gaming PC isn't a smart move in my book, most of XBox's library is shared with PC and shooters, which are the strongest part of XBox's library are allways better played on PC. So the real exclusives worth mentioning are Halo and Gears, where both already had PC iterations.

Xbox is for me a poor man's "PC". If you have a gaming PC, you would be smart to buy either PS3 or Wii for their exclusive games.

This has got to be one of the most ignorant and narrowminded posts ive seen in my entire life.

Calling an Xbox a poor man's PC? That has got to be one of the most offensive remarks to all gamers alike. Do you even have an xbox? Stupid to ask actually because everyone knows that answer.

People like this need to actually get that console, and not be so wrapped up to their ignorant and fanboyish minds. I've said this before and i'll say it again. HD downloads are what loads of people here do. It's cheaper and more convienient. 

BluRay is a lot more popular than you might think. All major shops that sell DVD's has BluRays. Sure, the odd charity shop here and there might not have the media but pretty much everywhere else does...

Yes they do it. But for 4 tyears has had poor shelf space. 

and for the four yeas,blu-ray was very expensive too

Thats offensive though... I'd wager I am considerably wealthier than you... but I choose a 360 over a PC.

Its not a poor mans anything , it is an alternative.  I prefer not to have a pc taking up room in my living space. So I use laptops.  Gaming pcs and the room they require - mess they make - doesnt suit my lifestyle.

Second, I don't give a toss about your lifestyle, there isn't a way you can possibly make the Xbox looks like a better choice for gaming than the PC. Gaming PC's doesn't make any mess, they are in fact a way cooler and more silent than Xbox.

It is an alternative, but for a PC gamer that already has a gaming PC, it is the least attractive console. It has the least exclusive games that can be played on it, it has a control scheme that can be run with the PC (Xbox controler is PC compatibile), it is technologicaly inferior, it has payed online service, it has a high failure rate, it destroy's your discs, it can't do anything else than play games and multimedia.

So yes, for me and pretty much any PC gamer that owns a real gaming PC, XBox is the choice for those that can't afford gaming PC = poor man's PC. I'm not saying that there aren't PC gamers that also owns Xbox, but those will probably also have all the other consoles. I can't see anyone buying Xbox for Halo:Reach to play one game and pay for it 50 bucks a year.

Let's break this POS down shall we?

Least exclusive games - yup I agree, has the least. Irrelevent though. I don't want to play the majority of PS3 exclusives, I want Halo more so than anything, Gears 3, Alan Wake, Forza, Crackdown, PGR, Viva Pinata ect could be what others want to play that can't on PC.

Same control scheme - ?? What has this got to do with anything? A PC Gamer is going to pick PS3 over 360 because 360 controllers work on PC? ....

Tech Inferior - They both have their pro's and cons, PC Gamers will get lesser graphics whether they choose PS3 or 360 ..

Paid online - Only good point you've made so far.

High failure rate - not anymore, try harder.

Destorys discs - has never destroyed any of my discs, it's pretty uncommon actually

"it can't do anything else than play games and multimedia." - What else can the PS3 do? Does it have ESPN and Sky? all the rich live features that PSN is lacking?

That's the problem though. Owning all plaforms including PC's will give you better judgement in those statements. I thought the Wii sucked before I got one, and I just realised that it had so many nice exclusive games that i loved. Mostly Mario stuff actually =).

Ohh yeah, with the PC, I play pretty much stategy games on it. Strategy games don't work on consoles no matter what people say.

 

The thing I hate with PC is that you pretty much have to be up to date with technology such as video cards and processors (etc. whatever that means lol, {i know jack shit about pc tech lol}) to enjoy the full experience of a game, particularly it's graphics. I hate having to lower the graphics setting on my PC games for them to run smooth.

 

With my PS3/360/Wii, I don't have to worry about all that tech stuff. I can just enjoy the game =). I guess im just a casual gamer. And it probably is a well known fact that casual gamers lean towards consoles, due to easier access and convience.
