Definitely agree with 6, it really pisses me off that I don't get my 100% when extra DLC is added, at least I keep my platinum on PS3

The only ones that I really have a problem with are online trophies, especially achievements as I have to pay extra to be able to unlock them and they nearly all involve grinding and are bloody annoying to do if you play a game ages after launch and can't find a game (Dirt 2!!!)

Personally I do not mind so much the grinding. My hate goes to trophies like those of KZ2 where you have to place in the top x% to unlock them. I have max time to play 1-2 hrs per day and even when doing well, I would never get close to the top placings. So I did get the General trophy, but got nowhere close to these others :(

Despise online trophies with a passion....for fashion. But no seriously, I don't mind trophies that make me explore the game environment more, thus emmerse myself into the complete game experience as the developers intended. Those trophies are quite enjoyable to receive, but online trophies like "kill the entire opponent team with one grenade"  are absolutely ridiculous and quite frankly can only be achieved through pure luck.  

Actually those online trophies kind of ruined the game for me as I decided to delay my playing time until I could get a clear week to try and get some of those trophies, and it just never hapened

TROPHIES SUCH AS COLLECT 100 TREASURES OR SHOOT 2,000 PIGEONS WHICH ARE SPREAD OUT ACROSS 3 DIFFERENT AREAS....NOW THATS ANNOYING. ALMOST AS MUCH AS THIS CAPSLOCK.

I think a lot of those are totally useless. It's just to brag about your absence of social life on a social networking ^^ /sarcasm

But I do think a lot of those are just nonsense, just some random elements thrown awat at your face, with no further reward. I prefer achievments like 'beat all in the game' than 'go find 100 cows' or 'wear outfits'

My favorite rewarding system was in Rogue Squadron 2 and 3, where the completion of missions (taking into account accuracy, time, live lost, ennemy destroyed) gave you special medals, which gave you some points to actually unlock missions. That really helped improve the lifespan of the game, and added a difficulty level in the game that was really rewarding.

On the contrary, I play Team fortress 2, and the achievments are so dumb that you have actually special achievment servers. I think it's useless imho. Also, I was just looking at the achievments of Mass Effect 2, and really found them totally useless. Some achievments are actually some game keypoints, like recruiting X or using X gate. So you get achievments by completing the game, great deal !

One of the best things that happened to gaming.

Only online achievements and the collect 100 whatever stuff sucks. (Bioshock 2 does it pretty well though, I think they are like 129 audio logs and you only need to find 100. That's doable without a guide)

I would love to see that, and more of ME's style with in game benefits for achievements

Don't pay attention to them, but apparently they're huge.
