This is obviously not the box art, but it will be interesting to see who they go for this year. Rooney has been on it for the last 5 years I think, but after the World Cup.....

I have yet to see a German player on the boxarts...was there?

It would be reasonable to put Miroslav Klose or Thomas Mueller, one being the top scorer of this World's Cup.

Just buy a German version of FIFA

All big European football nations have their own boxart star:

EDIT: Just like PES btw.

Who is that next to Rooney? I want to say Schweingsteiger, but that is normal for me

They should put a warning stating that the rules in the game are free of human error and that outdated FIFA rules do not apply to this game (hello Uruguay's hand ball with one game suspension and elimination of the real winner!)

???????????????????????????????????

FIFA is investigating SUAREZ's handball and there can't be better rules

FIFA only gave Suarez one game suspension and that hand ball should be counted as a goal. The outdated rules of FIFA don't  allow for that. In fact, I love how Suarez in an interview admitted that although he knew the handball was wrong, it was the best decision of his life.

It's funny that you call FIFA rules outdated, when there have been glaring human errors due to excruciatingly bad interpretations of the rules in other major sports too: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/5455084/human_error_the_ten_biggest_blown_calls_pg4.html?cat=14

And this one, in particular, was laughable from the umpire's side:  http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2010/06/03/sportsline/main6543410.shtml

Well, what do you know? I guess MLB has outdated rules as well huh?

OT - That cover looks pretty meh, but I never was a fan of FIFA covers to begin with.

Jesus christ, those calls make me angry. I need to go punch some walls.

OT: Since when does a boxart matter except when it sucks?

ARTISTIC DOESN'T MEAN IT IS GOOD

Dude you are whining about FIFA boxart. Give it a rest. It's just a sports game.

Yea, but you know the difference? In Football, you at least are given 2 challenges per game. In soccer, you're not awarded anything. In basketball, you take the ball out of a legit score and it is called goal tending. You are awarded points for goal tending. In football, they take championships/trophies away from cheaters, in soccer they do not. And MLB IS outdated as hell, but not as bad as soccer.

I'm not saying that FIFA shouldn't review the rules, at least when it comes to implementation of technological means to avoid situations like the England goal or Argentina's offside, but to consider them to be completely outdated is also a bit farfetched.

On basketball the goal tending rule exists, because it's a high scoring sport. Two or three point lead is nothing in basketball. On American Football, 6 or 7 point lead isn't much. In Football, one goal lead can pretty much dictate the final score of the game. So those type of rules wouldn't make Football that much fair. For that we already have the red cards and penalty, which is in 90% of the cases, an instant goal.

Cheating is cheating, on every sport. And every athlete who lacks sportsmanship will take advantage of the rules by bending them as far as they can. The same goes for refs, umpires, etc. To single out the mistakes of football while discarding the errors of other sports, which in some cases are far worse than Football ones, is an unfair look at Football.

can you guys tell me what are you talking about?
>_>; human errors?

Human mistakes in interpretations of rules in various sports worldwide

Schweini? That just sounds really silly, though I do hope the rumours of Chelsea buying him are true, he has had a great world cup and did well for Bayern this year

WTF?! Ghana would be the real winner IF they had shot the penalty right! Suarez was Uruguay's hero and, in the first (and possibly last) time in football history, an expulsion is considered good for one's own team.

If Ghana hadn't freaked out, they woud win. They lost their chance and the semi-final spot. Uruguay deserved to be the winner after the game. You guys just don't accept this because it's an african country who was eliminated. I bet that if it was something like New Zealand, no one other than New Zealanders would be complaining about this.

FIFA didn't give suarez one game suspention,it was as per the set rules.

and that hand ball can't be counted as a goal then why should there be a suspention,Gyan got a penalty kick which he missed

yes how Suarez was praising his decision was bad................lmao

but FIFA has nothing to do with it

BRITISH FOOTBALL is a far faster game that US FOOTBALL too

so it will spoild the experience of the match

the faster game is one of the reasons why it is more popular than US football
