Thats insane; The Wii is a great piece of technology, but nearly a year since release and people are still lining up for them? I can see the reason for its success, but I cant understand that.

For like, 30 minutes? Give the system some time and play something beyond WiiSports, it may not be your type of game. Play Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid, Resident Evil 4, Trauma Center (as you're "hardcore"), Zack & Wiki, Medal of Honor Heroes 2, Resident Evil : Umbrella Chronicles...

 At what point in time do these innocuous posts by leo-j become trolling?  We all know he doesn't like the wii, and yet at every turn there he is to remind us.

 Leo-J...you have played a Wii at school.  Congrats.  You didn't like it?  Cool.  It's not for you?  Fine by us.  I would never want you playing a system just so you could fit in, so I'm glad that you haven't started playing one even though it was torture for you.

But I do think that your hatred for the system is pathological rather than logical.  You have put something between yourself and the system that won't allow you to enjoy it.  You are not alone.  Many of us do this on a daily basis.  We rail against something so much even before we know what it is because it threatens something we love.  By now you can't go back and play it with an open mind because you have already told yourself (and us!) thousands of times (make that 5,000 times, judging by your post count) that you hate the Wii.  To actually admit that it is fun would draw fire to you like this site has never seen, and you know this.

So do us a favor.  Offer sales analysis or cultural analysis.  Tell us anecdotal evidence about how your friends played a Wii and how horrible it was.  Tell us that your grandma bought one and she loves Wii Play.  But don't bother anymore about telling us how much you don't "get" the system.
