Yeah i was really disspointed that i still cant access this content. i mean no offense to people who like the game, but i was dissappointed with the replay value of GOW3, and i honestly dont mind paying a small price for DLC skins, but at least bring them out so i have that option.

i suppose i can understand that Santa Monica and Sony are planning to give the game a good push this fall, with some DLC and skins, and maybe a GOTY edition next year. so if this is the case then i can understand because they need everything they got to fight M$ this fall. thats the only reasonable explaination i have for the content not being accessable at the moment.

Sony really has nothing to worry about against Microsoft next year. All Microsoft has got is Gears 3.

That's a REALLY bold statement there...I seem to recall something similar being said last year...

This year for Microsoft could still be considered a strong year. Mass Effect 2, Halo Reach, Alan Wake, Crackdown 2 and Fable 3. Even though I don't want most of them any longer, Mass Effect 2 filled the void for a great title. Next year is a totally different story.

I dunno, but play Ghost of Sparta on the PSP. It will most likely be better than part 3. Now that they lowered the graphics they can focus more on length and adding to gameplay.

What?

You think a sequel to Chains of Olympus is going to be better than God of War III?

Chains of Olympus being God of War II, but half the length, with terrible controls, worse weapons, a laughable story, useless graphics and pathetic boss fights?

Funny you mention length, then, because GoW2 was about 12 hours, GoW3 was about the same, and Chains of Olympus was 5 hours long. And "adding to gameplay" when Chains used the exact same animations and combos as GoW2.

God of War 3 felt like it was less than 10 hours. I beat that game in three days. Ghost of Sparta isn't Chains of Olympus. Check out the new interviews, the game will be much longer with moves inspired from GOW 3. It will explain why Kratos was so pissed after part 1 and beginning part 2.

I hope Ghost of Sparta is better. I'm currently playing God of War 3, and so far, it's not as great as many people are putting it out to be. Maybe it's series fatigue. I mean God of War 3 bascially uses the same combat system as Chain of Olympus, God of War 2, God of War 1. It's just more gore and better graphics.

Yeah i'm thinking about getting a PSP as well, mainly for the 3rd Birthday (but i'll try to wait for PSP2). no offense but i think that ME2 has already dropped off the radar, it might not even reach 2 mil in sales this year, and Alan Wake has been a big dissappointment. but yes theres still a chance with Kinect, Crackdown etc.

i was hoping to hear more about this Team Ico HD pack and the Last Guardian, after FF13 i'm not so sure about Versus. but i still have hope SE havent lost their touch. but yeah hopefully TGS will have a big reveal on these titles. and maybe even Demon's Souls 2. (but that would just be icing on a very large cake).

Chains of Olympus was pretty much an extremely watered down edition of GoW 1 & 2.

I did think GoW III was the best GoW cause of the advancements to the combat it brought to the table...

sure, its less than 9 hours if you rush it...but taking it slowly, exploring everywhere for hidden chests and godly possessions...that'll push it for upto the 13 hours I took to beat it..

and people who are saying "no replay value"...play on Chaos...you'll easily waste 20 hours of your life.

uh...what ?

4 weapons (which you'll actually use this time around), more variety of enemies (you won't feel like you're fighting 100000 minotaurs this time) and rideable creatures are new and they make the combat vastly superior imo...

Chains had the worst combat system of them all...its not good as the main trilogy... though GoS shows promise..

You beat it in three days because you couldn't put the controller down

But on a serious note, it was no less than double the length of Chains of Olympus. I suppose everything else is subjective, so we'll leave that comparison at that.

As for why Kratos is pissed before part 2, the Gods refused to rid him of his nightmares. That was explained in about 2 minutes in GoW2's opening cutscene. I suppose there could be more to it, but mid-quels don't have much room for storyline. Chains of Olympus didn't really have much of a story either- it was a cash-in on God of War II's success and popularity, so it seems pretty likely that Ghost of Sparta will be the same for God of War III, especially if Ready at Dawn did describe it as you said.

Don't think I didn't like Chains of Olympus. I liked it very much. It was just nowhere near the quality of the game that it blatantly ripped off: like Dante's Inferno, but not quite as dire, and more forgivable because it's in the same series.

But you can't deny that it looks amazing for a portable game. Ghost Of Sparta graphics seems to be on par with PS2 graphics. Plus there are more mythological beasts in the game such as Scylla and King Midas whic gets me pumped since God Of War 3 was mostly killing the gods and frankly the other monsters were lame.

And you said the mid-quels don't have much room for storyline , i disagree on that since there are alot of missing holes in the plot hinted in God Of War 3 such as Poseidon saying that he will avenge Atlantis and Gaia hinting another pawn that Zeus should have used. The game in my opinion does not feel like a rip-off since the developer are really taking this game seriously and saying that is an insult to the developer. So far the game seems to be better than GOW : COO and i hope it delivers as a full-fledged God Of War game.
