Explain how PC vs console and handheld vs console is even REMOTELY similar? PC has other purposes at well as games. Hanhelds and consoles' SOLE purpose are to play games..

It's not like anyone is saying they're exactly alike anyway, we're just comparing the sales of the two..

I bet if PSP outsold Wii, we'd be hearing it from A LOT of Sony fans.

The DS will pass the PS2 eventually. They are selling over 200K each week. By the end of the year, they will only be a few million away at best. I think they will catch them by next year.

PS2 - 10 years.

DS - 6 years

More or less same numbers.

I guess that makes up for those "differences" of home and handheld.

well the all consoles can do way more than JUST play games...or if your gonna go by the 'intention' of buying the console then there are plenty of PC gamers who upgrade just to play games as well...

and I think the Ninty fans need to calm down a bit...this is just a silly comparision..what next? Mobile games? Iphone? lol oh please

as of now dS is the king of Handhelds...PS2 the king of consoles...as of now that is....very different playing fileds, and please stop brining in the omgzers someone disagrees so they are fanboys of other consoles attitude, leaves no room for discussion

DS is king of game consoles.  It just happens to be a handheld console, rather than a settop.

There will be a time when consoles will be ceased to exists. Only handhelds will rule.
