i actually thought that for a minute, but it couldn't have been ms. Well, there could have been a plant by MS but it's more likely the spy would have just been an actor with a device that didn't do anything.
unfortunately it's either tretton or fils-aime trying to usurp total command.
do people honestly think that because Zelda's controls failed onstage, that they suck?
go read all the articles about the people who actually played the game. my friend's there and played it, and says it works great.
Anyone who thinks Miyamoto would demo a Zelda game with broken controls is retarded.

Epic Mickey was effected too if you paid attention to the IR pointer, it didn't use WM like Zelda in which the data wasn't being aquired the same way so it wasn't as obvious. This is not the first time the Wiimote had that kind of problem during a presentation anyways, but looking at the demo booths videos, man, shit looked tight.

just a thought for people comparing visuals again = SD=! HD, of course visually Sorcery SHOULD look WAAAY better than Zelda, the fact that it only looked on par with Wii graphics makes it seem a bit lazily done. I'm not saying its bad, I'm just saying that Resistance blows it out of the water so badly that it caused more oceanic damage than BP. :D Also consider that Sorcery is a nearly complete package, due out this fall, where Zelda was said to still be heavily in production and not due out till 2011. Think about it, last E3, they didnt have anything but artwork to show us, and it was one piece of generic artwork. Ina year they showed us a working product. By next year it'll have all its polish. |
It's a 2011 title.

this^^ also I though you guys already said graphics are not important and it's the gameplay that matters, there is a lot of hypocrisy in this thread, the way i look at it, people just want to hate on the move and any game/s released for it
it's the future of handheld

There has been a lot of talk about it but the OP's intention (IMO) was to say that Zelda and the stage presentation really didn't seem to do anything for him. It didn't seem revolutionary (Like many had hoped), it didn't seem overly epic (like many had hoped), the controls didn't even work well (Like many had hoped)....I think the OP acknowledged the fact that Zelda is Zelda and the chances of it being a poor game are slim.
But I believe he was making reference to the fact that from the stage presentations, Sorcery did look better. Not just graphically, but gameplay wise as well. I would agree with that. I think the OP also acknowledged that it's unlikely that this game is actually better than Zelda but from what we have seen thus far it was his impression.
As for the real merit of this discussion, I think that Sorcery needs to have an awesome story line with a non-linear environment and some full-fledged polish on it and more depth to it's combat system and if it does those things (based on what I've seen) it will be a AAA title.
It also could work as a Gauntlet / Diablo / Baulders Gate - esque type of game with friends. Again it will need a lot more depth in it's iventory system/story line/etc and multi-player. I feel this could be a big mover for Move if done right.
Will these things occur? I don't know to be honest, but after watching the gameplay, I am truly hopeful. Because I expect Sony to pump out better 'Motion Control' Software than Nintendo has at this point and this would be a great start.

It would seem that my comment has hurt some feelings. I apologize, lets move on.
