I played DKC1-3 nonstop when I was younger. I never thought that we'd get another. Although there were many other amazing highlights, DKC4 stole the show for me.

god damn it looked great.  I only hope that the music be well done.  Surprisingly that is one of the most important aspects for me, and anyone whos played the originals should agree.

I was really surprised when they showed the new Donkey Kong Country game. There was rumours last year that Nintendo would make a new Donkey Kong game, but then nothing was shown at E3 2009, so I thought the chances of seeing a new Donkey Kong game would be unlikely after hearing the rumours before this years E3. I've been waiting for a good 2D Donkey Kong game since Donkey Kong Country 3, which was 1996, so I'm really happy that Nintendo and Retro Studios has finally decided to do this. I honestly thought that I would never see another Donkey Kong Country game again after Rareware left Nintendo.

Strangely, I actually had a revelation moment one day I thought it would make sense that Retro was working on a Donkey Kong Country revival game for Wii. I posted it on VGchartz back in in March. But then I said it was an April's Fools jokes so I wouldn't get banned. The thread is locked now.
