Gabe newell coming on stage made it all worth it

He had the best line in the whole conference, saying that he was introduced to Kevin Butler as the VP of sharpening things, lol

Though he DID look really nervous, maybe he had a sniper trained on him

Unicorns ARE real - They are just fat, grey and called Rhinos

Holy crap Jaffee...could this game mode be any more complex?

HA! I was thinking the same thing. I love car combat, but that is an extremely complicated premise to explain to everyone. The game is starting to take on a bit of Warhawk it seems.

I don't think there is anywhere left to go with car combat as a standalone game. I mean, sandbox games already do have car combat, some of them pretty sweet combat (prototype).

I guess his thinking is that complex game modes = next gen car combat game

What was the first thing I had to do?

I missed the conference... but from the looks of it, announcing all of those amazing games early (LBP2, KZ3, InF2, so on and so on...) was a silly decision on Sony's part.

And no PSP2? Not even a price drop? 3DS is going to be unstoppable... o_O

I think the show wasn't very entertaining. The biggest problem in my opinion was this Jack Tretton guy who was boring me to death.

However when judging by how many exclusive games I've seen that I'm interested in, this conference was best.

So I think at this point it's safe to say

Nintendo>>>>>>>>>>>Sony>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Microsoft

I like to judge the showing based off the surprises. After all, that's why most gamers get excited for and watch E3 isn't it?

Nintendo had a healthy showing of surprises (if you exclude the leaks and rumors). They had the Goldeneye Remake, Mario Sports Mix, and the megaton IMO, a new Donkey Kong Country. And of course, the 3DS blowout, with announcements of its features, game lineup, and appearence. No Vitality Sensor was odd though. A -

Sony had a decent amount of surprises if you're interested in the Move. But for the core gamer not interested in motion controls, there really were few surprises. The main ones were the announcement of Portal 2, GT5 release date, and the big one, Twisted Metal. The Move stuff was mostly just same old core games with tacked on motion or stuff Wii has alreay done. Sorcery did look neat though. C

Microsoft showed they have no ounce of creativity in their bones when they decided to ripp off virtually EVERY type of successful Wii game, and in a half assed manner on top of that. Natal just looked akward and tiring to use, and most of the games looked bland and of bad quality. We saw some decent new footage of things like Gears 3, but litterally NO new core games announced. Terrible showing. D -

NOOOOO!!!! Where is THIS?!? WHERE THE HELL, IS THIS?!?

Oh well, better than Microsoft's, but still disappointing, overall.

I was about to say Sony didn't piss me off with this conference though they didn't knock my socks off either, but WHERE IS THE LAST GUARDIAN YOU SONS OF BITCHES! Also why no new PSP?  Why try to market PSP ONE MORE TIME?

Anyway Kevin Butler was awesome, I laughed, he did a good job of selling the move and trying to make a statement about core vs casual that reflect my own thoughts exactly, so good job glad to see that.

Even without TLG I'm pissed it wasn't there, but Sony also tried to at least show some quality stuff, biggest things I take away from this being Heroes on the Move and Portal 2 (using steam cloud wtf! o_O)

It's what you expect it's not above expectations but it isn't a pain to watch either, that's my take.
