Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo will definitely win at E3 this year

Zelda alone is not enough to 'win' E3 especially when it is expected, it loses all shock value that way.  The 3DS isn't going to amaze me personally when I'm still waiting for a bunch of games to be support by Nintendo on the DS.

As it has been stated before, 'winning' E3 is not something that is based on personal opinion or even public opinion.  Its pretty much just a guage of media opinion and 'wow' factor following the major press conferences.  Both of which have greatly to do with the hype of the gaming media who are actually at the event.  And if the double punch of Zelda Wii and full 3DS specs are shown, its going to be pretty hard for anything to top that.  No matter how much MS/Sony has been trying to hype Natal/Move or how much the gaming press has a bias against Nintendo.

As for Metroid, a new Metroid, done by the original Metroid team AND Team Ninja is being released for the Wii.  You can't really ask for more than that.  This game has the potential to do for Metroid what Ocarina of Time did for Zelda.  I too would like to see Metroid return to the best handheld system of all time (and possibly the best system of all time, the DS).  However, let's not snub Other M yet.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

I think Nintendo will have a great show and I'm definetly hyped for it. I just want to see Zelda and I'm good for the rest of the year.

can't wait, time is so slowlly passing now

I think that Nintendo will have a good conference, especially with the announcement of the 3DS handheld. Although the gaming media will always try to find something to complain about when it comes to Nintendo's conference. I don't understand why either. E3 is supposed to be a trade show where they show off new products, not a circus where they just try to entertain people with a flashy show.

Well, looking at that Nintendo is now doing live streaming, and I believe their E3 is a one hour showing longer than normal, I think that it DOES you like quite a good chance at a great E3. Plus I'm hping it does the same jump over awesomeness over last years E3 that last year's did to the year before!!

Its that season of gaming where gamers get pumped for the biggest gaming extravaganza in the world, E3. Although E3 conferences have been a bit dry in the past, this years E3 looks to be the best in years. Nintendo's conference in the past have been dry in the past two years but I know for sure that Nintendo will take E3 2010 all the way home with their amazing line-up. At E3 2010, Nintendo prepares to announce a couple of updates to the Wii but thats not it! Nintendo prepares to steal the show with the unveiling of their next gen handheld 3DS. My bet is Ninty will end their conference by debuting the trailer of the most highly anticipated titles in years, Legend of Zelda Wii.

For all you Sony and Microsoft fanboys, sit back and relx because Nintendo is planning on taking E3 2010 all the way home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol!

This year is gonna be just like last one - Sony > MS > Ninty, or MS > Sony > Ninty. Sony has a lot planned for E3 since they let out so much games out in the open already and MS always has great E3's... not to mention that 2010 is probably their biggest year yet. 3DS? I don't expect much from it. Zelda is the only thing that Nintendo's E3 has going for it. Nintendo's also very small on new "core" IP's, so don't expect much there.

Sit back, relax, and see the usual results.

o_O Yes I hope it isn't the usual results for Sony and Microsoft cause I really do look at the content of the shows and the past couple of years it has seemed to be talk about games that haven been in development since the generation began.  Or the new stuff they show off being leaked on the internet a month ahead of time, that's not what a lot of gamers want man.

But as stated before if you want to talk about being a show then yeah Microsoft always wins that, they get big names in the biz up on stage, they get really flashy, they just know how to present, and if all it took to "win" a trade show was that they've won every year since the original Xbox cause they're shows are always entertaining to watch.  But its a trade show about content and what will be big for gamers, not just some niche...

Two things

First, Nintendo never says what they are going to show unless it has already been revealed. A lot of games were surprises last year.

Second, this year is a big proving time for Microsoft and Sony. They are coming out with motion controls and all eyes will be on them to deliver. They are competing with Nintendo on Nintendo's turf. And with things like the Vitality Sensor and 3DS, they may be ready to sidestep their attacks. It might take another, what 3 or 4 years for them to counter that.

Wow, and you're a writer? Nice obvious bias.

How anyone can see an an unveiling of Zelda, 3DS, and Vitality Sensor as last place is beyond me...
