Forums - Sales - Chinese tradition continues, meet the Iped!!!

This happens all the time. Only problem is very, very few of these chinese devices are worth buying. The price of entry might make it seem like a good buy, but it will be a pain to use over time because of a lack of support and unaddressed software bugs. There is probably design flaws in the hardware that aren't immediately apparent as well.

Unless this device is somewhat open and gains popularity/support among hobby coders, it is almost assuredly a waste of money. Even though it runs android, I question how easy it will be to update, and how well newer versions would run on it.

oh, interest, thnx.

OT: it is good, but most important it may show that apple is making a huge load of money with each ipad

Although, the Iped/Apad does have a smaller screen (7" vs. 9.7" on the Ipad) and it has a huge freaking bezel(like twice the size of the one on the Ipad) surrounding the smaller screen.

Also it's supposedly slightly heavier as well (that's what they said on Kotaku anyway).

While true that support probably will be non existant... if this is a somewhat durable product, it may be worth a purchase for the pure sake of having browser, email and movie playing capabilities. If the browser works fine (and supports flash :)), and it supports those video codecs that they say that do in that video, it already is pretty much worth the price IMO...as long as it doesn't fall apart in 6 months.

If this thing had bluetooth that you could use to pair up with your phone...and then use that phone to connect to 3G internet, I'd buy it.

$105 is honest, for the price Apple asks for iPad I can buy a notebook and an iPed.

Well if I want to buy the Ipad in Shanghai I have to spend around 900$....(import)

But don't really care about it (Iped/Ipad).

No one beats China. Just give em the initiative & they'll do the rest!

Apple Overcharging?

never

They should market this product in number of Asian markets....I bet it would do really well.

Meh was going to happen.

At least it looks like a decent knock off.

How DARE apple sell things at prices that give them more profit.

A bit ridiculous, but at the same time it refelcts on China wanting to stay on the trend, or maybe for their own reasons
