This happens all the time. Only problem is very, very few of these chinese devices are worth buying. The price of entry might make it seem like a good buy, but it will be a pain to use over time because of a lack of support and unaddressed software bugs.

Unless this device is somewhat open and gains popularity/support among hobby coders, it is almost assuredly a waste of money. Even if it runs android, I question how easy it will be to update, and how well new versions run on it.

While true that support probably will be non existant... if this is a somewhat durable product, it may be worth a purchase for the pure sake of having browser, email and movie playing capabilities. If the browser works fine (and supports flash :)), and it supports those video codecs that they say that do in that video, it already is pretty much worth the price IMO...as long as it doesn't fall apart in 6 months.

If this thing had bluetooth that you could use to pair up with your phone...and then use that phone to connect to 3G internet, I'd buy it.
