Forums - Gaming - Insomniac go multiplat - Choose EA

Sony hasn't lost anything with them though, as they're continuing to make exclusives for the PS3. They're just sharing their talent a little bit.

And besides, I believe it's just for this one title/potential franchise.

If it's a success though, I think they'll make more multiplat games in the future.

Rockstar: Announce Bully 2 already and make gamers proud!

Kojima: Come out with Project S already!

Well I'm glad Sony own R&C and Resistance, because I'm not interested in those franchises, however they are quality games (all 4 all just missed 90 on meta)

I hope their next franchise interests me ...

You ever think that maybe other Xbox 360-only owners might be interested in playing those games?

Don't go around picking fights...

I'm not picking fights or anything like that. It's just that the way he says he is not interested in those games makes it seem like no 360 owner is interested. It's kinda like the same thing as Metal Gear going multiplatform. Many 360 fans on these boards were saying they wouldn't play the game even if it was on 360. I can understand and respect that view, but that doesn't mean there aren't other owners out there that would enjoy those games.

Hell, I know a lot of people who would love to see Gears of War on PlayStation.

So my opinion now means it's everyone elses too??

They will still be making exclusives, that much doesn't change at all. I'd treat them like Bioware before they were bought by EA . They made certain games exclusive to the 360 (Mass Effect series) while making other games Multiplat (Dragon Age). And unlike the Bungie deal, Insomniac didn't sign a 10-year or 10-game (Can't remember) exclusive deal with EA. For all we know it could be one game before they just decide to work exclusively for another period of time.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

And does this have ANY substance to the gamer?  Thank God it doesn't!

It's an INDICATION to the quality they put out, compared to say, if they were all 75 rated on meta. So yes it does actually ...

Hey, that cool.  I do try to respect other opinions... sheep...

;)

I don't follow why you're hating on Seece? He says that the R and C and Resistance games don't interest him. Fair Enough. He also stated that while he's not personally interested in them he sees the quality behind them given their high ratings.

These two can never appear on the 360 anyway, so any discussion on the subject is moot...

Sheep herder? no ...?

Didn't think so.

With few exceptions every now and then, 1st party exclusives should be the only exclusives around. Who knows, maybe when all 3rd party exclusives finally die off, the PS3 only and 360 only fanbase might be able to co-exist. Or at least tolerate each other. In small doses.

LOL!!! I made a thread that said this was going to happen and listed all the reasons why it was inevitable and almost everyone here called me an idiot. Look who was right after all? Listen it just makes sense people need to realized that the days of 3rd party exclusives are OVER for the most part outside of rare exceptions where a project is fully funded by the console maker themselves. Insomniac hadn't seen any significant growth in a long time, their sales were stagnating and this makes perfectly logical sense. And there's people that still claim Versus XIII isn't going to go multi-plat. It will and so will Splinter Cell. Say goodbye to the days of the third party exclusives my friends.
