Wait hold the phone, so money is really the biggest issue

So the majority of the Wii owners want a HD console but can't afford it?

You know you shouldn't believe things that you want to believe in
Most people say that its a lack of time and wii already has alot of time
People say money os a issue here but its more of a secondary reason so the correct phrase
is

"Wait hold the phone,so games and time is the issue?

So majority of the wii owners want a HD console but don't have time nor the money?"

That's much better phrase

Did you not read through this thread and see how many people had money as an excuse?

I didn't say everyone said that, but it was the "majority"

That's because money is an excuse for everyone by default. followed by time.

If I was rich, I would have bought all 3 consoles for sure. If I was rich and busy, I may not have much time for gaming but I would still buy them all and just pick out a few gems.

I think many of the people who only have a Wii putting money as an issue, even as their main issue, clearly favour the Wii (however hard that is to understand for some) because if they don't have large amounts of money for non-necessities they have chosen the console that gives them the most entertainment for their money. Hardly anyone here will have thought "Well I think I prefer the games on the HD consoles but can't afford one so i'll buy a Wii"

Because HD doesn't make a difference at all, in my opinion. Yes, you can have better graphics, but graphics aren't everything. I don't need or want an HD system because I already have enough fun playing the great games on the Wii. You don't need high definition in order to have fun playing a game.

Been away for a bit, but sneaking back in.

Gaming on: PS4, PC, 3DS. Got a Switch! Mainly to play Smash

Seems to me that for most wii owners it comes to money but on a side note, most of them seem to consider a ps3 before a 360

True dat.

As a full package the X360 is barely above the original Xbox to me, neither of their game libraries is particularly interesting, though X360 has a little advantage there. Each also has a major negative: X360s unreliability, and the Xbox's horrid excuse for a controller (and I have only tried the supposed small version of it)

I'm going to expand upon this because it is something i have noticed and believe i have a decent theory as to why this may be.

I think there may be a minor illusion or belief among a lot of Nintendo oriented gamers and Wii owners that if they were forced to choose between one of the alternate consoles that the PS3 would be the better choice for them, because it appears as though - at first glance - the PS3's library is more open when it comes to casual titles and softer, more fantasy-like games. This is apparent when we see games on the PS3 like 3D Dot Game Heroes and Modnation Racers getting a lot of spotlight, and no games of a similar likeness seem to exist anywhere on the X360. In fact i can't remember the last time an X360 game that wasn't rated 15/18+ with a selling point that wasn't extreme violence or featured realistic graphics was given even a fair amount of hype. Also if we think back to previous generations there were an abundance of more casual titles for the PSX and PS2 such as the numerous Crash Bandicoot games that were quite big at the time and its easy to assume to the same kinds of games have carried over into the PS3's library.

Of course if we all delve deeper into the X360's library we'll notice that there are a number of games for everyone, it's just hard to see it at first through all the showings of explosions and guns and extremely violent action. In fact at one point i was starting to reconsider my X360 purchase because softer games on the PS3 that appealed more to me where getting a lot of buzz at the time, like Little Big Planet and Flower and Valkyria Chronicles. I reassessed my purchase and fortunately realized that i was simply confused and remembered why i bought the console in the first place. I have noticed though, at least where i'm from, that a lot of Wii only owners with this frame of mind will more likely fork out the cash for an X360 over the PS3 despite thinking that the latter may have more games suited for them, simply because the library of both the X360 and PS3 are largely the same, only the former is much cheaper to purchase and apparently easier to come by. I really think the price point of the PS3 did far more damage than need be...

I believe this mirage is mostly due to a lack of knowledge of the offerings on the alternate consoles, so Nintendo/Wii only owners who haven't done extensive research into other consoles can only use what they most definitely know to help make a decision, and they only know about what's been thrown in their faces: Grand Theft Auto, Mass Effect, Call of Duty, Halo, Bioshock, Bad Company, Left 4 Dead, Gears of War. etc. etc. games that are almost all 18+ and are filled with over the top violence and darker toned graphics. It's a very similar mindset to the PS3/X360 only owners who believe that the Wii "has no games". Though i'd argue that the latter mentality is far more closed minded.

How technical is your game?

I don't care for either of those two systems overall libraries enough to make a purchase. I also don't see a game on either system that the Wii doesn't have that I absolutely need.

Obviously I am misinformed and don't know enough about what makes games good or something.

misinformed....but mature.

Thanks... I think.

That's more a compliment than many people give me.

I meant misinformed as in "misinformed for thinking that you are being called misinformed". It was a subtle play on words. :P

And you are a great dude. Other people are simply misinformed and don't know enough about what makes a person great.

Oh thanks.  I like you too.

Even if I'm also bitter and unfunny.  LOL

Ok ok this is getting abit weirld lol, whats next "i love you"? lol

because the only games worth playing are from Nintendo (not from me but I have read this reason on forums before).

your in the wrong thread mate, this is to wii owners not HD Owners.. go to the  "To HD Owners: why havnt you bought a Wii yet? thread"

simply because there are more games that catch my attention in the wii than the others. I still may buy one someday just for Resident evil 5 but dunno when
