Because the majority of analyst and video game journaliste never praise nintendo.
So the nintendo fan must do the job. So I will do my job now.

Nintendo 3DS will be awesome.

I approve this message :D

Can't wait to see the specs and the softwares.  I sure hope there will be more third party efforts than on the wii tho.

People are just caught up in the new generation that is about to begin. Same thing will happen with PSP 2 (probably already happening) and N6, Xbox 3, and PS4. Not to mention it is new hardware from the current market leader... that goes a long way too.

But don't get so "involved" with it and let people have their hype as everyone gets excited for the unknown possibilities just like they do when new titles are announced.

It's the new thing, so obviously everyone's excited and eager to find out more!

On a side note, I wonder how long 'till Sony announce 3D capabilities for PSP2. That it'll have a touchscreen and camera(s) is a given imo, but I also wonder if they have the guts to include dual screens...

We know a lot more than the name btw

We know
Glassesless free 3d
Nintendo consider it a successor to the DS(i), not an upgrade

It is also almost certain that the 3ds uses the tegra chip (further proof it is much more than an incremental upgrade)

Moderately reputable sources also say it has better motion sensitivity than iphone/sixaxis, 2 touch screens, is as powerful as the GC,.

Also, it's made by Ninty

I see plenty of reason to be excited, and haven't seen people overreacting too much

We also know that because it's BC with DS(i), it'll have 2 screens, 2 cameras, a built-in mic, a slot for DS carts, at least A, B, X, Y, L & R buttons, as well as a D-pad, and I'm pretty sure they'll continue the DSiWare thing, too. Probably a built-in browser too, as DSi has that as well.

You may have to wait  a while. Sony stated that they were planning to implement 3D in the PS3 and that they had no plan to implement 3D in a handheld.

Yeah, I know about that. But they're Sony, you know...

Like how they said they weren't interested in motion controls, which they considered a gimmicky fad, then quickly implemented tilt control into their PS3 controller in time for E3? And now they're falling over themselves to get a piece of Nintendo's casual motion-control pie.

Seriously, I wouldn't at all be surprised if they pulled another stunt like with the Sixaxis, and are right now scrambling to get some sort of 3D deal made for PSP2, in time for E3. Maybe they'll just mention 3D as a possibility for the future. We'll see. Maybe they'll tackle dual screens first.

Because now we for sure that ANYTHING is possible.

DS was a test, it worked.

Wii was the second test, it worked.

Whatever the follow up is, lets call it the IPOD Nano snowball effect, it will probably work.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

They could do that but remember the Wii controller was revealed at the TGS. Sony did not unveil their Sixaxis until GDC. It also took them over 3 years to re-engineer the Wii remote to develop the move. However, as you have stated 3D maybe possible in a future version of the PSP.

Yet this is all speculation since no one is ever sure the PSP2 even exist. Right now all we have are unverified sources from some Websites, which does not offer enough proof other than random ideas that have been thrown around for years after the launch of the PSP.

no , while i like the PSP , i hated the idea for the PSP Go , and these new "Touch Screen" PSP2 rumors.

i am also not a big fan of the DS XL and how the screens are huge but pixaleted as i am not a fan of the IPad.

I hear ya, Im not a fan of the "3D" trend gaming is starting to adopt. I dont want to wear some stupid glasses to play games lol
