Looking at the history charts 60+ millions seams really possible but it will need some good support from 3rd party and a good lineup from Nintendo on the 2nd half of the year.

This one has tons of wiggle room on predictions because it also involves predicting two other consoles. I'm not going to put words in A_T's mouth. I will say that I concur with this prediction.

^some of his predictions are likely like the one wii passing ps2,wii getting 50%market share,selling 45 million by the end of the year,but the other ones i dont think will come true

I think that the 50% is absolutely going to happen and the 45m will probably happen. I don't think that the PS2 one will happen.

Yeah but 2009 and 2010 will have to AVERAGE almost 3 million consoles per month. The Wii is a monster so I will accept that it is remotely possible this will happen, but I won't believe it is a real possibility unless we go into 2009 with production at 2.6m a month (or better) and still ramping up.

I believe they said that is when they will either assess, or will have finished the assessing of the situation to see if they need to increase production.
Of course it is possible they saw the need to increase earlier, and will have done so by March, but I'm not so sure.
By the end of 2008 40 million is a given (should be at about 32m plus by September 30th)
44-45 million is probable, I think I am going to have a nice slightly optimistic prediction of 46 million.... 50 million is the maximum.
