because as he says in the article, no one challenges him. He has a market all to himself, and sure he has to do a lot of work for it but it means he gets all the clients as well

Zelda is going to be the best thing at E3, but in Pachter's mind, that's just another sequel, and he's counted that in the "known" column, and thus unimportant.

However, Zelda Wii is not "known" to the vast majority of gamers. It will be after E3. Like we don't understand the 12 year old, Pachter does not understand the core gamer. He think's were ignorant forum trolls.

I do agree with him about one thing though. E3 is won by surprises, not lineups, and any company worth their salt will have at least 1.

Come on, '08 was weak, but '09 was awesome; the first true 2D Mario iteration in nearly two decades, the sequel to the best game this gen in Galaxy 2, a new Metroid game co-developed by a third party that specialises in hardcore gaming, and the return of Golden Sun on DS.

Pachter is really butthurt about Nintendo not listening to him and making him look like a fool after his incessant Wii HD rumorings. This is why he's been lashing out lately.

This year: nothing? Nintendo will show some mindblowing surprises I think.
