Hrm so Mario Party drops off the map for a few years and Wii Party appears haha basically just changing brand name.
Honestly I haven't bought a Mario Party type game since the first, I was thinking of MP8, but heard the controls were meh, so I was holding off for WM+ supported MP9 but if this does all that, then it might be at least a check out.

MP8 controls are fine, i recommend it if you have friends to play with.
but the downside is there is only 6 levels. 5 and one unlockable.

This is pretty much Wii Play Plus.
I remember arguing with Lordthenightknight (or however your name is spelt, im sorry), that party games would stop being as big on the Wii.
I now ask you, as i know for a fact you will see this thread...
Do you think the introduction of "Wii Party", if it moves big numers, will now push even more 3rd party "Party" games on Wii?
Especially if we also see a new Mario Party game within a year.
This game isn't Mario Party. It seems more straight forward to me. Maybe a cross b/t Wii Play and Mario Party that includes a few games for some or all of the wii add-ons (Motion Plus, Balance Board, Zapper and Vitality Sensor).

I hope this is not going to be one of their biggest annoucements at E3. Hopefully, they'll make an equally strong push in the next few days to announce a big new core ip.
Its mario party without mario ...i really like the concept and cant wait to put my hands on this one ... also we all should note that Hudson is making theyr own party game so its gonna be Mario Party without Mario , i really think that Miis should get their own games, still i waiting a true adventure game featuring Miis i think it will be a massive HIT !
