Looks like a hung parliament.

Also you really need to move onto some form of proportional representation. Hung parliaments do work, we've had them constantly since 1996.

I know, thats what I want

MY GOD @ LABOUR VICTORY IN SUNDERLAND!!

19K compared to 8,000 for closest

Its a poor former mining area and in the North East.

Trust me, from someone who lives near here it was expected.

it was?

excuse me for my complete lack of political knowledge but what does mining have to do with Labour?

In short. Thatcher closed the mines. Labour grew in popularity as people still blame Conservatives until this day for the poverty up here. I don't think Conservatives or LibDems have ever won there...

I must say, watching how you do elections is pretty archaic. At least for Ohio.

99% of our ballots were cast electronically.

First results are in....8.3% swing in favor of the conservatives in one precinct (or whatever you call them over there):

2251 First result: Houghton & Sunderland South: Labour hold seat with 19,137 for Bridget Phillipson. Tories second with 8,147. Turnout of 55pc. Swing from Lab to Con of 8.4pc

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.

we call them "constituencies"

all ballots are cast by post or on paper on election day.

you wont get a clear picture till many more seats come in!

I really don't trust electronic voting, it really isn't nearly secure enough.

I'm not sure why we don't vote electronically, but that really has to be introduced for the next election in...oh, six months.
