yes you can't see anyone but milliband the older taking over labour,

they need to decide what they stand for instead of just ANYTHING BUT TORIES

without blair, brown, campbell, mandelson and being in power things will be very different for labour

2100: President Obama phones Tory leader to congratulate him

The support from the USA could be crucial for Cameron something Blair had that Brown never grasped.

Apparently Harriet Harman is going to step in as a temporary replacement for Brown....All of a sudden Conseravtive supporters have a double reason for celebration!

she said already on BBC News that she wont be standing for the new leader.

most of the money seems to be on David Milliband.

Three days is a long time in politics also, I did mention temporary.

Internet is full of David Cameron hate from people who can't speak English.

Delightful. How long is this going to go on?

Let them whine... poor things, probably slow of thought.

is this an example of the new more tolerant Conservative Party im reading?

its a reaction to the rather thick boo boys that labour seems to attract and have started even before the government has even had a chance.

hooligans.

whereas im sure that during the Labour years the entire Conservative support base was silent, well behaved and gracious in accepting what the government did and its moments in power?

Very different. We started complaining when Tony Blair started messing up. Cameron hasn't done anything yet.

And Tony Blair was hardly the victim of cries of "Fuck off back to Eton, you rich-loving git", now was he?

oh come off it, its politics, people always complain, dont bullshit and pretend that you dont get angry when your Party does badly, everyone does it, its a human reaction.

and people shouldnt say things like that, but hey, its a free county aint it?

just to make sure there is no confusion here, I did not and do not like Tony Blair, Gordon Brown or New Labour.

I'm not sure about that, actually. A fresh face did wonders for the Tories, and would have done wonders for the Lib Dems if Clegg had any idea how to run a country. Gordon Brown's face is certainly not fresh. Miliband's is more so, but he's part of the Old New Labour party

Alright, fine. People complained, but to begin with, the internet was pretty much non-existent then. And this is a different scenario, because Blair got 450 seats and Cameron got 306. But I agree with what Kowenicki is saying about how irritating it is that idiots like many of the people currently trashing Cameron are doing so because they think he's some sort of poor-person-hanging give-them-cake power-to-the-rich Old Tory.

fair enough, I dont like him because of his/his parties policies and because I think he comes off as smarmy and arrogant, two attributes which rarely endear me to anyone.

as for him as PM, time will tell, I certainly have many reservations.

With Mandy as leader.

Golden age, I tells ya.

They is obviously down wid the kidz, yo.

I'd hate a 5 year fixed term, too long but having a 'maximum' term would be better, so a party can call it in 4 or even 3 years if they want.

Hmm, pie.
