whereas im sure that during the Labour years the entire Conservative support base was silent, well behaved and gracious in accepting what the government did and its moments in power?

Very different. We started complaining when Tony Blair started messing up. Cameron hasn't done anything yet.

And Tony Blair was hardly the victim of cries of "Fuck off back to Eton, you rich-loving git", now was he?

oh come off it, its politics, people always complain, dont bullshit and pretend that you dont get angry when your Party does badly, everyone does it, its a human reaction.

and people shouldnt say things like that, but hey, its a free county aint it?

just to make sure there is no confusion here, I did not and do not like Tony Blair, Gordon Brown or New Labour.

Alright, fine. People complained, but to begin with, the internet was pretty much non-existent then. And this is a different scenario, because Blair got 450 seats and Cameron got 306. But I agree with what Kowenicki is saying about how irritating it is that idiots like many of the people currently trashing Cameron are doing so because they think he's some sort of poor-person-hanging give-them-cake power-to-the-rich Old Tory.

fair enough, I dont like him because of his/his parties policies and because I think he comes off as smarmy and arrogant, two attributes which rarely endear me to anyone.

as for him as PM, time will tell, I certainly have many reservations.
