Microsoft has taken many of Sony's exclusives. This has allowed them to drive Sony's fans to the 360 like Tekken,Final Fantasy,Gran theft Auto, etc. This would be Sony's turn to take some of Microsoft's share of fans to the PS3.
Sony are not that good in North America.Yeah it could be because of PS3 shortages that 360 is still beating it but still Sony isn't performing in NA like it is Worldwide.Alot of upcoming games like Gran Turismo 5 might help. But it would still be Playstation Fans buying it and a couple of other who don't own a PS3.Bungie has a Big fanbase in USA which will help Sony's NA sales.
Now Everybody might say they wouldn't cause they said it was multi-platform,well Sony could do a Timed Exclusive.
Also many might say it would cost alot to sony, well it will bring big sales in NA which would increase software sales for PS3 too in NA and as NA buys alot of software compared to Europe and Japan, this could do alot for other games. Also the first year Bungie's new game won't be that big as HALO or MW2 so timed exclusive might be easy. Also as new IP from any developer, exclusivity can raise its hype and also help its name and what big could be a news that Bungie has been defected for the Black Monster.
Activision could then after one of two years take it multi-plat when it is bigger.
Apart from you response on the probability of this happening,i also want to know if it does happen how big would it be?
