This isn't OLD news at all.

Bungie recently said they wont be making a Halo game in the next 10 years, if i remember correctly.

Now they have no intention AT ALL of returning to the franchise...

Well it's gonna be made by someone else, I mean do you think Microsoft have put together a studio to make Halo games otherwise? After this game, it's the end of Bungie Halo

Yeah, it does. But that's not the point. Even so though, do you think Microsoft would deny Bungie an opportunity to make (for example) Halo 6 in 10 years time if they asked?

They DID say they could possibly return to the franchise.

That is all i'm saying.

I doubt it will bomb, Activision will market the hell out of it with "From the makers of Halo", and we all know how much they are willing to spend on advertising a game (just look at MW2). Should pull in decent numbers.

And if Activision let Bungie have full control and don't rush it... It will more than likely be a top quality game.

But as you said, it doesn't matter anyway.

Haven't they said this at least once before? I remember when Eidos used to say "this is the last Tomb Raider title you'll see from us."

Anyway, it'll be fun to see them tread on different ground, I hope they turn around and make something entirely different.

I still think somethings missing. I mean microsoft wouldn't just give away bungie for nothing. Anyway all the best for them, as long as they make great games I dont care.

halo reach will be my last bungie game i will ever buy, i lost any repsect i had for bungie when they inked that deal with activision. i mean how stupid are they sigining with the devil of game companies, look at what they did with infinity ward. they deserve each other .

Thanks Bungie...you guys have been great over the years, and I certianly look forward to whatever new projects you guys work on. It was great to see such a classy split from M$ and the continued positive relationship...best of luck in getting the same from Activision.
