Most of the PS3 fans seem to be saying Halo isnt very good but Bungie are awesome...  can you explain this to me? 

Bungie is Halo, Halo is Bungie. 

1/ I dont give a SHIT about Bungie games you can't even imagine (this generation : overerated games and developper IMO)

2/ I m just argumenting about gamers IN GENERAL that USUALLY (including me) :
More games we have, better it is (because in the mass we may get some pearl)

3/ HERE, I was just correcting/fixing Lord Flashheart that claimed that bungie making an exclusive for 360 was great news for gamers
while, I would have said : "Bungie making an exclusive for 360 was great news for 360 gamers"

4/ you see, you are focusing on the wrong person man ...

5/ As I have said in my very first post : Sony PR talking is just here to make "heart bleeding" bleed even more before E3 fight.
It is not about Halo is good or Bungie is great.
It is about MS losing a studio that worked exclusively with them. END.

Which MS saw coming and created 343 industries...  some bungie bods have gone to 343, as has some MGS people I believe....

I never said they weren't.
If you game you're a gamer.
If you're looking to get a different console then a realy good exclusive could be the answer so good news for gamers.
A new game is good news for gamers. Ideas from that game can be copied and improved and exclusives get the funding and time to try new ideas.

How do you know that though?

An exclusive game from Bungie could be huge for Sony, how do you make a Halo killer? by getting the company that made Halo to make you a game. An exclusive game from Bungie going to the PS3 would be huge, it'd be nice to see what they can do on the PS3 though.

Each company is competing there asses off this gen, this would be a huge plus for Sony.

Microsoft isn't the only one with money you know.

Are you suggesting that none of the multitude of studios that sony moneyhatt... er... bought aren't capable of producing something to rival halo?

Sony's already got a game better then Halo but just because it's better doesn't mean the sales will be, you should know that you been in VG Charts long enough.

With the Bungie name backing up whatever game they come out with it's almost guaranteeing high sales.

Just think of it, "From the creators of Halo comes a game exclusively to the PS3". It's pretty much guaranteed big sales.

the contradictions in this post sum up the nature of this thread very well

to summarise your post:

- Sony already has better games than Halo you say (hell knows which imo)

- therefore Halo is not all that

- Bungie makes Halo and now....

- Bungle launches a PS3 exclusive game "from the makers of Halo"and it will be a blockbuster

the contradictions are clear as day, the reasoning is as broken as can be and yet you see no irony...

You didn't seem to read my post very carefully, just because a game is of higher quality doesn't mean sales will be better, a huge franchise like halo will always sell high, Sony doesn't have a huge FPS franchise so just because they come out with a game that's better then Halo 3 doesn't mean it's going to sell better.

That eliminates theses two

- Sony already has better games than Halo you say (hell knows which imo)

- therefore Halo is not all that

I also don't understand how you don't think a exclusive Bungie game wont sell on the PS3? Explain.

Um last time I checked COD MW1 failed to staty on top spot on Live long enough. And right up to MW2 H3 was on average more top spot than COD MW1 was.

Reach will put MW2 firmly relegated. As it was Halo 3 was on 890,000 players 3 days ago.

Halo is strong ... on 360
but the whole MW PC/PS3/360 community is bigger than the Halo communityµ
that is my only point.

Also, Halo3 is heavly bundled since 2 years ...
