Its better if they just release the Player's Choice line for Wii; but thats not going to happen this gen. A person can dream though. Plus, anything can happen this comming E3.

I think a Player's Choice games will happen, and this year.
Stopping the production of games like Animal Crossing and Wario Land points to that

I can be wrong, but i am almost sure that in the beginning this year Nintendo announced they will discontinue the shipppment of some games.
And Animal Crossing, Wario Land and Excite Truck were in the list.

You are right that they announced they were discontinuing shipping some titles, and Excite Truck, Wario Land, were on it, but I don't think Animal Crossing was. Donkey Kong Barrel Blast was on there as well as Big Brain Academy. Anyone out there find a link to that info or know of any games I missed or am incorrect about?
Bah!
pffft. Nintendo never cuts the price of their games. Really annoying actually and one of the reasons I like the PS3 as I can count on significant discounts a couple of months later. I just bought BatmanAA for $20 off of Ebay due to its lower retail pricing. Twilight Princess, a MUCH older game, still costs ~$30 on ebay.

I completely disagree. I still don't know why they stopped making Wario Land. It was selling 10k a week at the time. I think that Nintendo should have just made those games Players Choice last year, instead of stopping production. They probably will never start production ever again for those games, and that is why I don't see them being Player's Choice.

Even the best of the best should get a price cut over time. Saying that it's okay for Nintendo to keep their prices high while implying that everyone else has to cut prices over time implies that Nintendo-made games are of some godly quality that is unattainable by anyone else.
There are plenty of high-quality games on all platforms that go down in price over time, so I don't buy the Nintendo-fan line of "it's worth it" by virtue of the game being made by Nintendo. While they develop excellent games, Nintendo doesn't have magical properties that make their games inherently better and more worthwhile than other highly regarded games. I know Iwata has spoken on this subject before, but I don't buy his reasoning at all.

There is actually a decent Batman game or does it suck like almost all Batman games before it? I think the last decent Batman game was during the 16 bit era maybe 8 bit not sure. Also, it makes it a little easier if a game starts at 60 dollars to cut the price when the price should have been 50 to begin with. Video game industry might be looking to adopt health care inflation model. Go up 10-20% each year in price / go up 10-20% in price each generation.

Batman AA is one of the best games I've played in recent years. Its a REALLY good game and I strongly recommend it to anyone.
I do agree with your reasoning on the $60 games. That probably is why PS3 games can drop quicker as the initial $10 hike makes a lot of money up front.
