- Wasteland - The Mission.
@Severance i know all of those and jak is easy platforming so no
sly cooper is more a stealth plaformer but is still a platformer so I agree
ratchet is really good game but more of shooter
and little big planet is piece of sh** regardin platforming
3d platformers are more like mario, rayman, kya and crash
and for the guy who said uncharted is not a platformer
well I agree cuz the platformin is very basic
but theres 2 types of platformer theres the mario type ex: kya,the first jak and raymen
and theres the tomb raider platformer ex: prince of persia, assassin creed and a little uncharted
Nintendo made me a gamer so I'd be stupid to ever try to forget that like so many people nowadays
The Top Best Consoles Are SNES and PSX
Currently Playing: 1.Monster Hunter tri 2.MegaMan 10
PC has the best platformer.... people jump just as much in Counterstrike than they do in mario!!

yea you can count infamous, since it is a platformer, and sly cooper. There are probably alot more but I may not know of them. Also there are mario games with water guns like Super mario sunshine, doesn't mean it's not a platformer =P Uncharted is a platformer/third person shooter in my eye, since it really focuses on platforming elements as well as TPS elements. |
Joel, do not even mention Super Mario Sunshine. That game just sucked.
Both Sony and Microsoft have had some great platformers (normally hybrids with other genres).
But to suggest that either of them even register in a genre OWNED by Nintendo is folly.
starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS
So in this thread does Metroid Prime count as a platformer too?
While there have been various companies that have matched Nintendo in this genre at various times, when taken across several generations and including this one, I really don't think any other company is in the same league as Nintendo.
Thinking it over, Nintendo really has delivered a lot of platformers this gen, and many of them are legitimately great...
