I never saw a preview that speculated on the final resolution of a game.  That's something that might come up in a Q and A for a upcoming game but not a preview.

It's too bad all this pixel counting nonsense has gotten so out of control. I mean I don't remember any of this happening last generation, people just seemed to enjoy the games back then.

The pixelcounting has nothing to do with this, the criticism of the two websites comes because they put up videos of the game without permission.

Game footage gets leaked all the time but it usually doesn't include speculation of the games final resolution.
