Today Lady GaGa's 5th single Bad romance has become the most viewed video on youtube. With around 180 million views and gaining 500-700k a day, its likely the video will likely push 200 million views becoming the first video on youtube to reach the 200 million mark.

Lady GaGa also holds the record for the most viewed "THING" on the internet, with JUST her 3 top songs "Poker Face, Just dance, Bad Romance" adding up to well over 2 BILLION views. Lady GaGa is known for her amazing live performenes (many consider her monsterball tour the best concert of the year), and dramatic fashion sense, and amazingly unique videos (many consider her (as in other artists) the hardest working person in hollywood). Her current single Telephone hit #1 on the media base top 40 pop charts, making her just the 2nd person in music histroy to have 6 straight #1's on the media base top 40 pop charts. The video on youtube alone is nearing 50 million views with both the explicit and clean version.

Doesn't mean much. The most viewed video before that was Charlie Bit My Finger, and we all know how AMAZING that video is. Oh, and "7 Things" by Miley Cyrus is one of the most popular videos on Youtube. Really just speaks to the Youtube demographic.
