IMO the only truly great game Ubisoft has made in the last decade is Beyond Good & Evil which was tragically underrated.

Still, for the 4 hours or so that I played the rental of AC I had fun with it. It certainly had it's problems and wouldn't be breaking into the 9s for me score wise but I didn't encounter any major bugs and the movement/climbing was so awesome that the game was worth renting at least just for the experience of leaping around town.

I have beyond good and evil on my cube,  I never could get into it.  I don't know why, it looked great and played great.  There was just something about it that didn't bring me back for more.

Prepare for termination! It is the only logical thing to do, for I am only loyal to Megatron.

i know something is wrong with me
but i agree with naz once again

AC maybe not be GOTY material, but its a fantastic game (would give it about a 9 give or take a few)
Really the gameplay is something everyone should try its done very well.

With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B

Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.

Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.

The getting trapped bug and the crash bug are the only two that I have an issue with, those are showstopper bugs and that sucks ass. The rest are amusing and stuff you can ignore and play past especially since the concept of the game is great and there is a lot of stuff they got right.

But anyone who encounters a showstopper bug has 100% right to bitch their ass off and complain about it. Thats just the way it is.

I didn't say everyone would bitch, just that those who do get it have every right to be upset. The same way you would be upset if you went to a theatre and the movie was freezing up or the projector lightbulb kept going out. Games are a form of immersive entertainment and when that immersion is completely snapped in half due to the neglect of the creators you as a paying customer have every right to be upset. Whether you exercise that right is a choice we each have to make.

With that said, I am definitely in the camp that wouldn't make a big deal out of a one time crash, but people getting stuck behind walls and such could mean starting over (depending on the their save system). And the continuous or repeating crashes are just unacceptable.

The first Splinter Cell game was pretty freakin' incredible.

Or check out my new webcomic: http://selfcentent.com/

After playing games like :
redsteel
rayman
splinter cell
and many others i decided that ubisoft games are not even worth touching. I dont mean they suck but they are never polished and filled with bugs and glitchs : /

I wonder if Ubisoft is trying to become the new EA (quality wise). I was looking at Destructoid news and came across this very funny AC glitch "The mean Altair"

http://www.destructoid.com/weekend-destructainment-big-jerk-edition-55330.phtml

That is ok. I was looking for a this video on youtube so I could post it without linking you to that crappy site. Instead I found dozens of glitches (sorry no link for the first one). This is inexcusable. Who proof test these games? Monkeys? It looks like monkeys develop their games.

Should we pay Ubisoft for these games? I remember a lot of similar glitches with Red Steel (mediocre game)

Video and sound quality sucks, I know.

Edit

Pop sands of time - had a rare glitch that required restarting the game (similar to Zelda TP cannon room glitch) save in a specific time frame and it is game over

Pop WW - had several bugs that required restarting the game from earlier saves or from the beggining

The POP trilogy is probably the best thing ever came out from Ubisoft , so dont go that far . Other than that I agree , they start to become the new EA , and Im pretty damn sad , especially because they where my fav. company for a looooong time :(

Vote the Mayor for Mayor!

I have had 5 glitches and even a disc is dirty or broken message, which it wasn't. I hope they fix it!
