My second ban, 3 days http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/post.php?id=2921651 (note that "morons with modems" was a quote from the article I linked to)

My third ban, 7 days: http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/post.php?id=2946821 (gave a humorous reply to a guy trolling in my thread, oh no)

My forth ban, 10 days: http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/post.php?id=3027032 (I dared to bring up 360's faliure rate when the mod thought it wasn't called for)

My fifth ban, 14 days http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/post.php?id=3124307 (that's right, a two week ban for stating my opinion)

The last two bans (incidentally the longest ones) were issued by the same mod. Interestingly, I only ever got banned here for statements against Microsoft, never for anything I said against Sony or other companies (which I did when I felt it was warranted- when I see a spade I call it a spade).

As I said in a private exchange with trashleg (who never banned me, just for the record), I consider the ban-happiness of some of the mods quite detrimental to the quality of discussion and the arbitrary length of bans rather unfair, especially since the banned poster can't really do anything about it (the other mods virtually never seem to overturn any bans). After ban number 5, which I considered even more unfair than the rest (especially due to its length) and several locked threads I initially didn't intend to return, but as you can see I did and it's now actually been two months without ban. Maybe things are getting a little better here?

After all, the topic of this website is game sales, and who except for ardent supporters of consoles really cares about this in the first place? Therefore it seems rather absurd to try to squelch any and all confrontational statements: Confrontation is a the very heart of the subject matter.

I've been banned once. I'm sure I will be banned again eventually. It's not really that big of a deal for me. I'm on here alot,but it's not the end of the world if i'm not.

Why is this in the website forum? You being banned really has nothing to do with the website itself, this is more for off topic... since website is... well for the WEBSITE and off topic is for everything else which includes how often you've been banned :P
