Am I the only one thinking that the first game that it will 10 million will be the one bundled with the Move? You know, that one that looks like Wii Sports (Not saying that Sony copied Nintendo or anything like that, I just don't remember the name lol)

Halo 3 was heavily bundled. MW2 is pulling these sorts of numbers without any such bundle. And the sequel won't totally kill sales, MW1 was still selling after WAW and even MW2 came out. I see it maxing out just slightly over 10 million, maybe 10.5 million.

I hate how a multi-platform game has the chance to become the first 10 million seller on the PS3, while incredible exclusives, like Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2, are just at an average of 3-4 million.... come on people!

Don't forget Halo 3 had a very narrow Xbox360 user base to conquer back then. We were only 7 million Gold members at the time (and almost no one buys Halos only for the single-player).

Blame sony for not advertising them like the 2nd coming of god, cough halo 3, cough mwf2..

I never understood why Uncharted 2 didn't make more sales either

No halo 3 was not heavily bundled.  To my knowledge it had 1 official bundle and that was just last year during the christmas season.  

OT: I don't think it will quite get there on the PS3, it will be pretty dang close though!

Yes, its already close to 8 million after a few months, 10 million will not be a problem

I think it will, and I'll be really happy when it does. Seriously, I don't usually post this way, but I think a lot of you hate the game just because it's not a PS3 exclusive. Get over it. Most PS3 owners obviously don't care if a game is exclusive or not. And Modern Warfare 2 is set to become the highest selling 360 game as well. Just accept that it's an incredibly popular game. It's definitely well deserved.
