Halo 3 was heavily bundled. MW2 is pulling these sorts of numbers without any such bundle. And the sequel won't totally kill sales, MW1 was still selling after WAW and even MW2 came out. I see it maxing out just slightly over 10 million, maybe 10.5 million.

 

Don't forget Halo 3 had a very narrow Xbox360 user base to conquer back then. We were only 7 million Gold members at the time (and almost no one buys Halos only for the single-player).
