Me and a friend where wonder what every body thinks as he says call of duty and I think it is battlefiel, in light of light of bad company two. So what do you think?

Out of those choices I'd say Battlefield quite easily. Bad Company 2 is a must have if you love war and multiplayer.

At this moment in time I would say Call Of Duty.

I play MW2 for an hour or so pretty much everyday. I haven't played BFBC2 yet, but I've heard good things about it.

Half Life has a superior single player element to it, but you asked what currently is the best fps franchise, so COD's addictive mutliplayer gives it the nod.

Single player: Half-Life wins by a mile.
Multiplayer: Probably Call of Duty, but I still play L4D and Counterstrike: Source.

Im assuming we are only talking consoles.
As far as features and content go Halo 3 STILL has no equal except possibly the upcoming Halo Reach. No other game even comes close as far as the competition (Playlists and MLG and skill levels) and features (Matchmaking, Forge, Theater, Online Co-Op etc) are concerned. Now gameplay is all subjective to the individual but as far as features id love for anyone to try and argue against it.

Half life on that list.

My personal choice is Bioshock or System shock 2.
