I know some article got majorly dugg and we had a huge rush on the site. (man did it run slow that day...) I'm pretty sure it was around E3 last year, but I can't remember for sure

Edit: yeah it was definitely http://news.vgchartz.com/news.php?id=4818 (Top Ten Sexually Awkward Video Game Moments) posted on August 16, 2009. It got 825 diggs, including more than 700 in less than 2 hours. And.. this is the internet after all...

The record was before that article, I remember the day the article took off and I thought it was going to beat the high score I was watching it, but it died off a little before 10,000.

It was something before that. Here's the thread about that the day it got the record, not sure what happen exactly that we got the high score, something to do about Wii vs PS3 in Japan or Punch out?

Yeah, was about last April. There wasn't one article that did it, but like 3 within a couple of days of each other.

We go over 6K nearly every week or two, and over 8k every quarter, but it's been awhile from last we went over 10k.
