If i had to put money on the best selling HD exclusive this generation, it would be halo reach. It has far more selling potential then halo 3 and as long as there aren't any major flaws with the final game. And I mean real flaws, not opinions on why the game sucks as quite frankly many people said halo 3 sucked and obviously they were a small minority if it still sells well today and is the only exclusive game an HD console has that can compete with wii game sales.

Anyway, does VGChartz count bundled sales for a game? And does NPD? If not, Reach sales might look lower than they really are.

It will have a bigger launch thats for sure. As for legs needed to REACH halo3's numbers, im really on the fence. But like CGI, I dont care how much it sells, all I know is it'll have a themed Halo Reach 360 Bundle, with 250GB HDD and two controllers. I'm sold!

Reach should have the biggest openning of any Halo so far.  Whether it outsells Halo 3 LTD is tricker as there is simply so much more competition now, with Modern Warefare, Medal of Honour, etc. all competing for the same FPS players.

However, with a larger install base and each main series entry seeming to tempt in more players it must surely have a fair shot at outselling Halo 3.

I predict 3.5 million first week and a lil bit over 10 million lifetime for Reach.

But with that said, I think it's a mistake by Bungi to leave Microsoft and Halo and try to make a new game. From an artistic creation point of view I can't speak for them, they probably are tired of Halo and want to create something new but saleswise it will be hard for them to make a 10 million seller. How many new 10 million seller franchises have we seen in this gen on HD consoles? Only Call of Duty and Assassin's Creed.

Actually, neither Assassin's Creed sold 10 million, unless the first broke 2 million on PC.
