again, 8/10 is a great score, just not for this game. It would be fine if edges "scale" was mutually distributed amongst platforms, the problem is, it's not. at all.

Seriously, it's just numbers, it's not the end of the world if a game doesn't get the score you want. Have you even played the game you are complaining about? Played the final version, that is. And no, a youtube video is not enough.

About GoW3 vs Bayonetta, enough with it, it's getting old. Some people prefer Bayonetta, some people prefer God of War, simple as that. Both are games of high quality.

Preference should not be a factor in game reviewing. The second it becomes a factor, do you know what you invoke?

Its called different strokes for different folks.  They don't use one reviewer that does all the games.  Each game affects different people differently.  A 10 game to one person could honestly be 5 or less game for other people.  There is no conspiracy theory going on here.  I thought this was common knowledge and surely nothing to get panties in a twist about.

I'm just going to copypaste my reply from other thread here since it's basicaly the same subject:

I was comparing Halo 3 ODST to GoW3, since ODST was a short campaign with map pack included. There wasn't anything new or innovative over H3, yet they gave it 9. Half of their scores doesn't make any sense, they are inconsistent and biased, that's a fact proven by their track record. I'm not saying they are biased towards certain console, but their opinions differ from issue to issue, contraindicatory and what not. They either dwelve so hard on innovation, that it looks like it's the only thing they care about, yet then comes out a game with nothing new and they score it almost perfect with the reason "it's still fun even after 3 years"? You kiddin right?

And fyi GoW3 is not only pushing it's own genre, but it sets industry standart in setpieces, technology, polish and tight gameplay. So it should be right there with the games you've listed.

Edge usually only give really high scores to games that they see as very unique or innovative like LittleBigPlanet. I understand them giving GOW 3 an 8 considering it really only is a next gen version of the previous 2, basically every review says that. Now to me GOW 3 i'm sure will be a 10 since it is by far one of my favorite franchises but I understand why someone would give it an 8.

Shouldn't this go in the Sony forum, since you're basically just ranting about reviews for Sony games, right?

And you have played God of War 3? The final version?

Whatever Edge is doing, what I want to see an end to is people claiming a game deserve this or that score before they even have a copy of the game.
