Sony keeps saying they learned so much making the EyeToy. They learned so much apparently that they're launching a new control scheme mid-generation with a bunch of tech demos. Sounds like the Eyetoy v2 to me.
Hopefully they reveal some full-fledged games that take advantage of this tech and get new users and existing owners to buy into it.

It's a little to close to the Wiimote set up for comfort. It will definitely be more precise but will the casual market (who this is aimed at) really care about that and shell out the cash for Move and a PS3? My gut tells me no.
I hope people keep their expectations in check on how big an effect Move (And Natal for that matter) will have on selling systems. You end up fragmenting your user base and developers end up selling squat for games. Ask Sega and NEC how that worked out for them. Or how about the Super Scope 6 for Nintendo?

I really hope this doesn't become a main focus for Sony from the get go, I haven't been convinced by motion controls and I prefer to keep my traditional controller as long as I can.

I would not worry to much about that. Plenty of Wii games let you choose between different ones still.

Should they still be using a majority of twenty-somethings actors for their marketing campaigns? The whole point of these more simplistic controls are about enticing other markets, they should have used a majority of young kids and families.
I'm sure this will be good, but a bunch of pre-alpha builds set for release in 5-6 months is giving me doubts for the launch quality.
just give me killzone 3 with move, that's all i want.
