We all know how poorly their game have been marketed...a new IP from a little developer, with poor marketing on a console with a lot of shovelware (so the customers now pay more attention to the games they buy) was doomed, even if LKS deserved to be a million seller IMHO...I hope Nintendo starts buying these little teams, they're very talented.

Probably wouldn't have made as many games.

But we know how Sony like to help the smaller developers on PS systems. So things could have been a bit different...

many small devs are drowning there due to the HD twins plus with the drop in venture capital expect more studios to collapse under the weight of the current financial situation.

so far 2 heavy wii/ds supporting companies are having trouble, CING and Marvelous, as opposed to basically the rest of the idustries financial woes which should be blamed squarely on the unsustainable market model of the HD twins judging by the comments in the article below,

Dammit, this sucks.
2.5 million is relatively nothing to a bigger company like Nintendo.
This is also a special case where I would also wish Nintendo intervened and snatched them up. It isn't like they haven't been supporting Nintendo's systems for the past few years.

Sony doesn't "help" small developers, they just support developers that make profitable games. Look at Factor 5 and Free Radical for example.

especially since  it is probably nintendo's fault since they have yet to release the Last Window and the wii trace memory in the west which could possibly cover the liability
