Never admit that a game is hard. If they hear you talking like that, you'll never beat them!
when ever i fill out a profile for a gaming forum there is always one line i make sure to put in.
Gamer of all genres, master of none.
i like plenty of games but i can find some of them to be quite hard. i really like to play Street Fighter II but i can't even go through it on easy without losing a match.
in each of the resident evil games i died dozens of times before i could finish them. but now that i'm use to them i find them very easy.
we all have skill levels that vary between different genres. but just like anything else in life, retrying and practicing will get you through in the end.

i find it hard my self, i cant get passed this damn wolf, everytime i try to figure out how to kill the wolf he kicks my ass and eats me alive lol
Thats why I play most games on the easiest difficutly settings. The chances for me to finish them before finding them tedious, become much higher
there are few exceptions where I play on harder difficulty settings, like hack'n slashes or platformers
But I only play those for the high difficulty
Also, if you are really stuck, dont be ashamed to use a step-by-step walktrough. I never considered them cheating, and its better to find some help and finish the game, then just let it unfinished
Vote the Mayor for Mayor!
RE4, I can't say that I recall having any problems with it but I put a second vote in for F-Zero GX, one of the hardest games I have ever played. With regards to RE4, find the scope, those things are quite manageable once you've got it.

There were a lot of places I had to die one or twice to make it through an area in RE 4, but only 1 or 2 areas that were really hard. I assume you have the wii version with wiimote, and not using the game cube controller, as that would be hard...
Be a little more specific where you are stuck at in RE 4.
Also, don't be too scare to use your best weapons. People say the game is hard on ammo, but it's actually keeps track of what you use. If you only use the pistol, you will get mostly pistol ammo and other ammo will be scarce. Use the wapons you like and are easy to kill with, although it's good to save ammo for at least one good weapon for a boss... Although fully upgraded pistol so it can shoot through multiple enimies is great, and so is the shotgun, etc...
I play games from a lot of varying genres so I might get good at one particular genre, but will always struggle to some degree. And I use guides a fair bit. My worst though is the original God of War with those bloody rotating spirals. I still haven't completed it... in fact I'm pretty sure I threw the disc behind a bookcase or something in frustration.
Try getting all S Ranks on Umbrella Chronicles.
That's a real pain.

Umbrella Chronicles has some bosses that are crazy hard at times. Mainly because the spot you have to shoot them at is so tiny, and I don't know if it was bad coding or what, but you seem to be hitting that sport but no damage is being taken. Just something that takes awhile to really get down to a science to take out a lot of the bosses.
Now I never found RE4 that hard, but I do remember a few challenging parts. But don't worry, people get stuck in all games. It happens. Hell even the easy games sometimes frustrate me at moments.
Also like to see that eggs guy play a Fire Emblem game. Probably blow his mind haha.
