Of course they can, Uruguay isnt a top contender but they arent weak, I see no reason why they wouldnt be able to beat England in a match, England would probably beat them but I dont think there is actually a huge difference between both.

the sane money would be on Spain as they have the best squad by quite a margin but we all know how they love to underachieve at the world cup. I would love to say England but for my money Rooney will suffer complete burn out by halfway through the tournament and with out him on form, no. Its odd but i have a feeling that France will do better than expected, whether they deserve to be there is immaterial now but i bet they cant buy a penalty. The more i think about it, the more its Spain.

I'm hoping for the Netherlands of course. Would be nice to finally win a World Cup after all those years competing. Plus, I doubt any nation would get pissed off if the Dutch win it... still better then Italy or Brazil ;)...
But smart money is on the latter anyway.
