Hmm I think I'll buy this game sometime

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

I thought this post was about a lady gaga song. lol

well consumers can buy whatever they like.
But big sales doesn't automatically equal quality.

Personally it's another game, where I hold my head in shame and ask myself what happened to gaming...

What is happening to gaming? Maybe just offering something to people other than you? Is that so bad? Really?

Eurogamer gave it a 7/10 with a review that actually attempted to see it from the point of view of someone who might be interested in the game (imagine that?).

And that's why IGN are never going to be as respected as other sites, it's all about what the site editors like, and not what the people like.

@ Barozi

What's happening to gaming is that it's trying to be fun for everybody and not just fun for you. It's strange that a game that's about, er, just dancing can make so many people go emo.

I admire Eurogamer for being able to take off their Gaming is Vewy Sewious hat and understand that this game achieves what it sets out to achieve and that people who just want to dance love this game for it.

What is with you? Do you want gaming to be an insular little hobby and to never be mainstream?

A game I'm developing with some friends:

www.xnagg.com/zombieasteroids/publish.htm

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

It's funny, because I was just talking about this game with a co-worker of mine and she just went on and on about how fun this game was while playing with her friend. I've haven't seen someone talk about videogames with that much excitement in a long time. I could learn something from her.

@Kowenicki

Haha that's pretty awesome. It's always cool to realize that some games (Like Just Dance) offer more than just sheer entertainment value. I need to get back on Wii Fit.

Also, after reading this thread, I think OkeyDokey and PSRock are the same person.

This game is FUN.

And this is the most important thing in a game.

You know I have nothing against reviewers hating it, I hate it too but the game is clearly not meant for me, same as the reviewers so why are they reviewing it?

A great game is something people enjoy, and a lot of people enjoy it so hate it or not (and I know I do) this is a great game that does what it sets out to do and should be reviewed like that
