@Carl: You've claimed you would vote for the BNP over Labour because they can run the country better. Well I think that's just plain wrong, I'm afraid. Labour are far more qualified to run the country than the BNP. Labour have well thought out policies for all aspects of running the country (Like it or not, they do). Have you ever read the BNP's policies, they're laughable because they are so ill thought out.

The reason? The BNP are a one trick pony, all they care about is immigration. If they came to power, that would be their primary concern. It's the only thing they have put any thought into. (And to be honest, whilst I agree that immigration is a problem in Britain, I think the BNP's approach is not sensible at all, it would bankrupt us, but that's just my personal opinion.)

All of the BNP's policies are neglected because they are so focused on one. In fact the BNP are so focused on immigration that it actually forms the basis of many of their other policies where it shouldn't; such as healthcare, where they claim that the NHS staff is populated by immigrants and that the immigrant workers should be kicked out of the NHS (which is extremely counter productive).

Labour on the other hand are not a one trick pony, they put as much thought and effort into each of their policies as the BNP put into their immigration policy. Are they perfect? No, not by a long shot. But they would run the country considerably better than the BNP ever could.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The main problem with the BNP is not that they are racist, but that they are incompetent in just about every area.

Of course they are, they have the experience and are a much, much bigger party. Although they haven't done a good job at all IMO...

I read a few of the stuff last night before i went to bed, a few of them have been posted here. And i have to say, like Tyrannical, i liked quite a bit of what i saw. Would it work? You say it wouldn't... But IMO it can't be much worse than it is now.

It could get a whole lot worse, they're white supremicists.

Seen as you're a white straight british male, maybe that's why you don't care, though you should take a look around you, will your family and friends get off the same as you will?

I don't actually think they are white supremecists. If that was the case they would want white asylum seekers to stay, and just deport/not allow non-white immigrants.

If, by some miracle, they did one day get power... You really think they would just deport all non-white people living here? It just wouldn't be possible. Even if they do believe that would be the right thing to do, they simply wouldn't (couldn't) do it.

I don't see any reason why they wouldn't. In some cases i imagine it could be better if immigration was heavily reduced. Where i live is pretty much a white area. Although there are a LOT of immigrant workers here, just like the majority of Yorkshire.

Believe it or not, it can get a lot worse than it is now. In fact things run pretty well in Britain compared to most countries. Labour have done a decent job, it's the wars and the recession that have lost them respect in recent years. But the Schools still run, Hospitals are still open and firemen still put out fires.

I don't think the BNP has what it takes to keep the country running. They would destroy us with incompetence. I would love to see how well their "thriving" economy would work when they cut ties with the EU, stop importing from countries with cheap labour and kick foreign businesses out of Britain. Labour certainly aren't that foolish.

What the BNP do is pander to the masses, with wishy washy policies that people want to hear. When I read through their policies even I think that in an ideal world I would like "more policemen on the street" like they do, but then again anyone would. Do they plan to do it? No. this is clear from how many of their policies conflict with each other and how high they set their goals. Ill thought out.

The reason you liked the BNP policies is because they are generic policies that are basically there because people want to read that kind of stuff, not because the BNP think it's the right thing to do.

I think under the BNP the country would be far worse off than Labour, and a few generic, wishy washy, policies that appeal to 95% of the population will not make me think differently.

Possibly. I can't see any party screwing up THAT bad though.

Schools still run, yes. Although they could be a lot better. Hospitals are still open, but are actually terribly run. There will always be Firemen...

Possibly. But then again... They might do an excellent job if they stood by at least a majority of the policies they have. But as i said they lack the experience so things wouldnt all be "perfect".

How do you know they don't plan to do it? It's unfair saying that they are lieing just because you don't agree with the party itself. If they say they will do something, or want something, you have no reason to say they don't without proof. How do you know they wont for example, pull the troops out of the Middle East, or even get more Police back on the streets?

I'm not saying that they're lying because I don't agree with the party, I'm not saying that at all. I'm saying they don't plan on carrying it through, their policies are just empty ear candy. Fair enough all politicians do it, but the BNP do it a lot, a lot more than most.

Let me put it this way. If I were running for prime minister and I told you that I was to put a policeman on every street corner, open more hospitals and schools and make them the best in the world, stop all crime full stop and keep the streets clean in every neighbourhood, would you vote for me?

If you were to vote for me based on those you would be a fool, I am in no way going to follow through on those. They are too unrealistic and to do one I would probably have to cancel all of the others. I'm just telling you what you want to hear. It's exactly what the BNP are doing in order to become more powerful.

All parties have empty promises like that, Labour, Conservatives, Lib dems. They all tell you what you want to hear. However, you can generally see some consistent thought pattern in their policies that show they have serious plans behind the ear candy. I didn't see this at all when reading the BNP's policies, I couldn't see a thought pattern outside of "Immigrants are the problem", which seemed to be the only part of their policies that were consistent. Most of what they said just switched seemingly at random.

They may well pull out of Afghanistan or put more police on the streets, but I don't think they would pull it off anywhere near as well as they would like you to think they would and they know it.

How do they do it a lot more than most?

Of course saying those things helps with votes, but just to say "they wont do it" is wrong. Saying they dont have the means or power to do it is also wrong. They could get Police back on the streets easily enough. They say they will pay for the training of more Nurses/Doctors, which is more than doable if people want the jobs. Not everything may be as simple, but if they tried hard enough they could get things to happen.

I know they all lie to an extent, everyone knows. I haven't studdied all of them enough (or even at all) though to properly see things like you see. You have obviously been interested in all this stuff for a long time... Maybe im being naive, but from what i've seen, some of the idea's they have aren't all that bad. And if they could get them to work it would do Britain a world of good.

Carl, the best thing I could ask you to do is to go to the other parties websites and read through their policies. They all write things pleasing to the reader, like the BNP. But when you look at them critically, looking for consistency and contradictions, you start to build up a picture of what they really stand for and what they do and do not plan on doing.

For example. When I read the Conservatives economy policy I can see that they will try their best to do what they claim; but when I read their health policy I'm hardly taken back by their claims, even though what they say is they kind of stuff I want to hear.

Oh i am going to, i had a quick glance at Labour's stuff last night but wasn't too impressed. Will probably take a propper look at a few more tonight.

I always thought politics was boring

Cleverbot is against us

User: What do you think of the British National Party?

Cleverbot: Since I am british, I think they are alright. You?

User: They are racist, fearmongering, idiotic bigots, and don't you forget it.

Cleverbot: Some times.

User: All the time.

Cleverbot: I have one favorite kitty, his name is pan.

User: Does he like the BNP?

Cleverbot: No, he doesn't.

User: Then I'm sorry to say that your cat is smarter than you are. Once again, what do you think of the British National Party?

Cleverbot: They are human.

User: And thus, they must be destroyed, right?

Cleverbot: No, I can't. I love Gertrude and couldn't bear to destory here son.

User: If you loved Gertrude, you would set her free!

Cleverbot: Well.. I don't know where you are anymore...

User: I don't know myself... So, are you still a BNP supporter?

Cleverbot: Maybe... But how do you write to a million people at the same time?

User: Ask a politician. And while you're at it, ask them about the BNP.

Cleverbot: Please clarify your meaning.

User: The BNP are racist bigots. Do you agree?

Cleverbot: Could you teach me Japanese?

User: If you agree to hate the BNP.

Cleverbot: What about free radicals?

User: Free Radical made Star Wars Battlefront, so no, you can't hate them. Just the BNP. Okay?

Cleverbot: Do you know who I am?

User: This is not a game of who the fuck are you, for I am Vader. DARTH Vader. LORD Vader. I can kill you with a single thought. Now going back to the BNP...

Cleverbot: Please try.

User: Once again, do you hate the British National Party?

Cleverbot: No.

User: At least, do you strongly dislike the BNP?

Cleverbot: No.
