What im trying to say is that Halo doesn't ever get you stuck with a useless weapon. You could play the whole game with the homo-erotic purple crystal gun and not feel too hard done by. You can't use the SMG or shotgun the whole game in Killzone 2 without facing a situation where you've got a seriously inadequate weapon. Sure you can switch, but if your favourite weapon is the shotgun and you don't get as much use out of it you're not having as much fun.

The art of Killzone was what initially drew me to the series, and the multiplayer of Killzone 2 turned it into my favorite FPS franchise. I will be hyping Killzone 3 from day one. :D

And screw vehicles in multiplayer. That would totally break the current style of gameplay they have going. Maybe if they made compeltely separate maps and round types dedicated expressly to vehicles it would work, but then they'd be forced to take focus away from the multiplayer mode they have already worked so hard to construct.

Non-symmetrical maps can be hard to balance. Jus t look at Blood Gracht. The ISA have a significant advantage on the map. The Helghast generally get stuck on the crosswalks while leaving their base, and the ISA just camp around there shooting fish in a barrel. It's the worst choke point in the game, and it gives the ISA complete control over the rest of the objectives.

That's true about Halo. I was playing some solo firefight (got my 200k points, yay) and was caught out in a large open area with the black eye (Need to melee to refill shield) skull on and very little health and ammo. I had around 3 Fuelrod Brutes to deal with and lots more Brutes and grunts. Somehow I managed to pull through it by picking every weapon I could scavenge. No weapon is useless and all suit near enough every encounter. Halo's weapon system really is perfect.

Pretty much what Squilliam said.
I didn't like the weighty feel or the high latency and the control layout for me was absolutely fucking dreadful. Eventually you get used to ABIT but this put many people off. Even average FPS's have better controls (though most of them copy and paste from COD and Halo.)
Co-op would be a plus and they need to fix the height thing, like what was that about? It's like your character shoots from the chest so they decided to plant a camera there.
