First X360 GRAW, Oblivion and XLive were the reasons for buying one.
HaloWars + XLive was the reason for the second one.

Exclusives that turned out not to be.

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.

Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi

my friend told me how awesome it is and told me about a game named halo 3. i bought halo 3 and got hooked up
xbox isnt famous here so i didnt know what a xbox was and what halo 3 is until i bought it :P

Halo, Xbox Live and the fact that I had 60 or so good friends on my friends list that were starting to transfer over and i wanted to keep playing with them.

Even with one dead box and my current one dying and about to be replaced, I have no regrets. I wish I DIDN'T have to buy a new one, but I will. And that says alot about the quality of the experiences I've had.

Can't we all just get along and play our games in peace?

- Price
- Hackable
- Exclusives at the time

.. in that order.

Because it's the best system this gen.

  XBOX 360:

  • Best controller.

  • Leading console for Hardcore Gamers. Biggest community.
  • Best game library since 2005.
  • Best exclusives (PS3 is becoming serious in this area now (at last...))
  • Best graphics. Remember Gears of War in 2006?!!!! (PS3 is becoming serious in this area now (at last...))
  • Best online service.
  • Achievements since launch on EVERY game.

  • Brand loyalty (Microsoft is strong and offensive. Sony won't be able to compete against Microsoft next gen)
  • Xbox Live Arcade (Trials HD, Portal, Rez HD, Banjo-Kazooie, Geometry Wars, and 200 more games)

  • Best price and warranty.

and let's not forget:

  • the amazing MASS EFFECT franchise

All reasons why I bought the Xbox 360.

My Gaming Setup

Frankly it was an impulse buy. It was down to $200 and I was seeing games for it pop up quite cheap at a local used games shop. I bought the games first lol. I intended to buy it at some point but not anytime within a few months of when I actually did.

I haven't regretted it. It's been nice owning everything, even if I don't usually get the multiplats on it, and it's only RROD'd on me once in 2 years, for which i feel lucky. I loved netflix on it too.
