SOOOOO when you say best graphics on console "ever" you're telling me that in the future no game will ever beat this? Not even when xbox 720 or whatever they're going to call it next or even ps4 will beat those graphics...are you serious? Seriously, take a whole day off, and sit in a chair...alone...and just think about how much time you took out of your life to post this nonsense. Think...it's all i ask.

Screenshots are impressive. However, I have to wait to to pass judgment until I see the game in motion in HD.

The thing about graphics is that no single game can claim to be the greatest right now, on account of almost every game have a different art style. There are several fantastic looking games out there. For instance, many claim that KZ2 is the greatest borderlands and people saying that the cell shading effect is absolutely awesome looking, even though it technically isn't as impressive, most would say.

So far, Alan Wake looks like it will definitely be the best looking Xbox 360 game at least. Until something else comes out next year that can surpass it.. Because not alot so far this year looks like it could.

But yeah selnor, you sure have been throwing "Best ever" out there alot lately. But it got alot of fanboys banned in their rage, so I actually support more of these threads if it gets rid of them, lol. Looks like we might have our forum back!

lol, it has to do with shadows and light reflection being generated in real time.

It just means the lighting is amazing. On the other hand, the environment is not, because it's well known the environment slows down the game because of having to load a larger number of textures depending on how much of it you can see. While the lighting is better, the environment is much poorer.

I have to disagree. Vegetation is one of the hardest objects to render properly in high quality, and AW does render them beautifully, and there's a lot of it. As for the buildings, they also look good as well.. Then there's the whole fog thing, but meh. Whatever.
