Both HD consoles had big releases commercially, review-wise is now a different story. |
360's release boosted HW by 9%, PS3's boosted HW by 2%.
Next week should see the gap become larger again, 40k+ probably.
yup, look at the charts week over week. 3-6 is the only one with a rise on the line. That's obviously from a release. The other two platforms stayed about level this week.
Looking at last year, each console got a boost around this time and for seemingly no reason at all. No big games came out. I expect next week for all consoles to be up week over week and 360 may level off at it's current number. I expect this trend to last about 2 weeks and then will begin the slow drop. None of this takes releases into account though.
Anyway...
Great numbers for everyone this week (again).
Good to see PS3 be > 200k again, good to see Mass Effect 2 also open so well.
Will be interesting to see the drop off next week.
So how many weeks has the ps3 outsold the 360 ww?

If we add PC version is well over 1 mio.
Also look at ME numbers in Others. The reason why ME didn't push hardware in others and had software ratio almost 4:1 (NAvs EU) is mostly because a lot of people have bought the PC versions. Everyone I know got the PC edition, since all my friends are long time BioWare fans and many of them don't have a console.
MY HYPE LIST: 1) Gran Turismo 5; 2) Civilization V; 3) Starcraft II; 4) The Last Guardian; 5) Metal Gear Solid: Rising

Well just speaking in regards to NA...tax season. I'm picking up two more ps3s for gifts this weekend.

FFXIII?
