OMG, bombs everywhere! Shiren 3 PSP, TVC UAS and (espeically) Last Rebellion are painfully low!

MH3 on the cusp of a million! FFXIII looking like it's not going to make 2m though. KH BBS is stalling lower than I expected too, as is RE DSC. Kinda disappointing all around, seems like Nintendo's the only company legitimately doing well. :/

MC hardware has Wii and PS3 a lot closer, but they usually tend to vs Famitsu.

I mentioned this in my last post. I'm almost certain those Famitsu HW numbers are from last week (or rather 2 weeks ago).

Proudest Platinums:
1. Gran Turismo 5
2. Persona 4 Arena
3. Wipeout HD
4. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2
5. Super Street Fighter 4

I wouldn't consider Tatsunoko Vs Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars as a bomb. It is a sort of re-release unless we consider that White Knight Chronicles International Edition or Dissidia: Final Fantasy Universal Tuning bombed too.

Yeah, true.  It less of a full sequel and more of an upgraded rerelease.   Still, I kinda thought it'd do better than 10k. :/

Capcom should've tried to get chibi Link and Kirby in there via their old Flagship connection...

Oh yeah, true.  We never did get HW the previous week, and everything did seem weirdly flat (no RPG push for PS3, no DQ push for DS).

Anyway, predictions...

  • DBO2: 65k
  • Reginliev: 25k
  • Madworld: 10k

EOE did well

but wow @ Ar Tonelico 3

why the big increase over PS2 iterations?

It is pretty shocking... I think it's actually the first RPG series to see an increase on PS3 vs PS2!  No clue why, maybe all those people who just finished FFXIII are looking for something new?

Maybe quality?

but famitsu rated it lower than the other ones.

Also it released on the same day that DQ6, EOE & The Last Rebellion came out so it had competition

wow this makes zero sense, I'm gonna go & see the LTD for AT1 & AT2

Yeah, from what I've heard hardcore Gust fans are actually really disappointed in AT3 (and were in Rorona as well).  I sort of suspect it's selling in to a new fanbase or something... it's also worth keeping in mind that Bandai publishes the AT games (not Gust themselves), so maybe it got a bigger push than usual?

Mmm i thought numbers seemed weird a bit. Well MC's hardware makes more sense. Ds got a slight push, so did PS3. And Wii should be down or around flat.

And Predictions:
DBO: 60k'sh
Regibnliev: 20k
Madworld: 3k

here are the sales of previous games

http://www.vgchartz.com/games/index.php?name=ar+tonelico

AT1 -- 100K

AT2 -- 150K

AT3 -- 80K (so far)

so At3 seems really good, lets see if it drops a lot or has minor legs.

Maybe like you said post FFXIII JRPG players want something new, but then how do we explain The Last Rebellions absolutely dismal sales? (I know we expected them to be low, but not that low)

Best to see where it ends up I guess.
